Fluor was selected to provide project management services for the buildout of the first Internet Protocol (IP)-based network across 14 major cities in North America.
We executed the $592 million buildout (engineering, procurement and construction) of a multi-conduit, fiber-optic cable system. This included the buildout of inside plant facilities in 14 major metropolitan markets and the installation of 7 million linear feet of conduit.
The project required Fluor to manage 650 subcontracts.
