Executive Summary
Fluor was awarded the contract to provide project management, architectural and engineering services (A&E) and telecommunications engineering services for an Emergency Operations Center for the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments.
Fluor's Solution
Fluor performed project management and provided A&E services and telecommunications engineering services for design of the 82,000 square-foot Emergency Operations Center.
We designed the operations center for survivability, reliability and the security of its occupants following a major incident or disaster, including earthquakes. Uninterruptible power systems and standby power generators enable the facility to operate self-sufficiently for weeks if necessary.
The operations center provides communication links to more than 100 fire stations, links to the Los Angeles Fire Department's radio network and houses communications and computer systems needed to support critical emergency management services.
